James takes a holiday!

Our best buddy James finally got his wish and went to the sky tower in the holidays!
He hopped on a bus and went to the sky tower.  He was feeling a little bit scared but really excited because he had always wanted to go. He even stepped on the glass floor and saw the city below. James made a friend called Steve who bungee jumped from the top! James was a bit scared to do that. Maybe he will when he gets a bit older!

Monday Morning in Room 1

Today I was really happy because Room 1 were back in class after their weekend. It was so nice to see them and they all said good morning to me.  What nice manners they have!

Today I learnt about the May Road School code. This was really interesting.

I learnt that at MRS we keep our hands and feet to ourselves, we look after our place and things and we play safely and sensibly. Everybody at MRS talks in a friendly way. Miss Haydon even helped us make a movie about PB4L on the ipads. My friends in Room 1 were fantastic actors as they showed how to behave at May Road School. I can’t wait to see the movie when it is finished.

Meet our new buddy James!

Hello my name is James! 

I am from London in England and I am seven years old. I really love playing games with my friends especially football and sometimes rugby. My favourite thing to eat is chocolate cake (even though I know it is not so healthy!) Now I am in New Zealand, I would really like to visit the Sky Tower. At the moment I live in Room 1 at May Road School. I have my own diary to write in but blogging seems like a fun way to share what I am doing. Room 1 is fantastic because I have made so many new buddies and they are all looking after me so well! I was nervous when I left London and my friends there, but I have made lot's of new friends already. Today I even went outside to play duck duck goose!
