The Anzac Day ceremony
On Monday morning all the classes went to an Anzac ceremony because the soldiers that died in the war had a funeral. First after all the classes came in front of the shade, everyone sang the New Zealand National Anthem. Then we all sat down. After that everyone was listening carefully to what Ms. Tuipulotu was saying. Next we all stood up again and everyone was quiet and we were listening to the trumpet. Then children from Room 1 helped the children in Room 12 put down the the white crosses next to beautiful, red poppies. The children in Room one put down poppies, that people wear on their t-shirts, down on the grass. The white crosses had black writing with the name of the soldiers. Finally every class went back to their rooms. I felt exhausted because we had to stand for a very long time.
