Lavina has already got 50 sunshines and we have only been at school for 4 weeks. Well Done.

This week we wrote about Komodo Dragons

The komodo dragon is the largest and heaviest lizard on earth. They are reptiles which are cold blooded animals.
It looks like a crocodile because it has four legs. The legs are bow shaped and have sharp claws at the end.

Komodo dragons live in Indonesia where it is very hot and grassy.

They are very good swimmers. They wiggle their muscly tail  from side to side. They move their tails like a snake. The komodo dragon's tail is longer than its body.

Komodo dragons are carnivores, that means they eat meat. They can even eat people. They have sharp teeth like a shark. When they bite an animal they have poison which will kill the animal. They have a long forked tongue and they can smell using their tongue, just like a snake.
